Year 2020, like many changes to life brought in a twist to our annual cookie bake as well. We couldn’t do our fourth year of cookie bake in the same scale because of COVID-19 restrictions. But it wasn’t all that bad. Instead we baked and individually wrapped 25 cookies for the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program in Sommerville and delivered through a friend who was raising donations. My brother and I baked the cookies by ourselves this year, and with minimal help and supervision from mom. Perks of being older. Secondly, we signed up for making and delivering breakfast bags for children through Nourish NJ. This was solely my brother and mom’s project and was a good easy one to do. We hope to resume our massive bake next year.
